Remark: As we pointed out in HP Prime Getting Started - Generalities, what is input in the command line is not always displayed the same in the history. Screen 1 in Content 1 drops parenthesis and relies on the calculator’s order of operations. The order or operations of the calculator is the same as taught for the manual calculation rule shown below in green. In screen 1 of Content 2 we see the calculator or calculator app does complex calculations in one-step. Calculator 2 screen shows us that the default for HOME view is to display exact math quantities as 12 digit decimals. Same calculations in CAS view would be to show the exact math representation back. To see decimals results in CAS view we use the approx key, wavy lines.
