FREE TI-Nspire™ and HP Prime Interactive Sample - TI-Nspire™ Video Tutorials

Here a example of how we will use one-line global functions in the future volumes to solve for missing parameters.

Both TI-Nspire and HP Guide reveal how we use the built-in functions as they relate to Basic Rules of Algebra. The example on the right is an example of how we extend the TI-Nspire power. The HP Prime uses dist(d,r,t) return solve(d=r*t,x) as a CAS example. Then it uses the same example with qualifiers for nonCAS programming.

If we knew the present value, rate, period, years, placing a x as the second parameter will let us solve for the payment. See chapters 1 and 7 for details abou creating and using one-line global functions.
